winter wanderings

O.K> Here goes. The day after it snowed, W.T. and I went to the Dollar Store aSale Creek to pick up a few things. Then he decided he wanted to go up on the mountain there at Bakewell where we used to cut firewood. I was driving , the roads were clear, and the truck thermometer said it was 38 degrees outside. Wehad an uneventful drive up the crooked, narrow road up the mountain however; when we got up on the mountain into Hiwassee Land Co.'s pine plantation and on a gravel road the road was icy and the temperature was 29 degrees. I drove out safely but I don't plan any trips up on the mountain until Spring.
